Jail for pervert who filmed young boys in toilets at tourist attraction
A judge heard how 30-year-old David Smith had also exploited a 15-year-old schoolboy during a four-month sexual relationship.
Bradford Crown Court was told that Smith, of Stott Terrace, Eccleshill, Bradford, met the teenager through a gay dating app. Although the complainant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had initially claimed to be 18 he revealed his true age three weeks into the relationship.

During the police inquiry into Smith’s offending officers discovered two video clips on his iPhone and GPS data helped them to identify the location of the photos.
Smith, who had no previous convictions, was sentenced to a total of six years and four months in prison.
The jail term included eight months behind bars for two offences of voyeurism and one of distributing indecent images of two young boys in the Tropical World toilets.

Smith had also admitted various offences relating to sexual activity with the 15-year-old, downloading child porn and distributing images.
Jailing him yesterday, Judge John Potter described Smith as “a committed paedophile” who had been directly involved in making indecent material which he distributed to others.
The day after he took the video clips of the two boys in the toilets Smith had distributed them to others via the internet and Judge Potter said that amounted to a “gross violation of the privacy” of the children.
