Kate skips wedding
The Duchess of Cambridge will miss the wedding of good friends today as the final countdown to the birth of her baby begins.
Kate, whose baby is due in mid-July, will stay at home but William and Prince Harry are expected to be among the congregation to watch long-time friend Thomas van Straubenzee, 30, marry Lady Melissa Percy, 26, near her ancestral home, Alnwick Castle.
The Duchess’s final official public appearance was last weekend when she attended the Trooping the Colour.
