Leeds bus strike: Which buses are running today?

The 24-hour walkout began at 2am and is part of an ongoing dispute with with member of the Unite union over pay.

The firm has imposed a ban on voluntary overtime this week for workers who are taking part in the walkout.

Which services are running as normal?

First Leeds has pledged that these services WILL run as normal today:

PR1 Elland Road Park & Ride

508 Halifax to Leeds via Farsley and Kirkstall Road

670 Bradford to Leeds via Greengates Rodley and Kirsktall Road

X6 Bradford to Leeds Express

X11 Bradford to Leeds via Pudsey

Yellow School Bus services to John Smeaton Community College and St Theresa’s RC Primary school

These services will be provided by other operators:

Some journeys on service X98 will be provided by Connexions Buses - First tickets/passes will be accepted

School services LW1 and LW2

Quarry Hill works contract

Are any services running to special timetables?

Buses will start later and finish earlier than normal, but this may be subject to change during the day.

Buses are also likely to be busier than normal, so passengers are advised to check the timetables carefully before they decide to travel.

Some services will be split in the city centre and will run in two sections, so a change of bus may be needed if travelling through from one side of the city to the other.

Services affected are: 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 13A and 16.

Special fares

Fares charged on the services below will be £1 for an adult single and 50p for school children.

Metro and First pass holders may use their pass to travel but will also be compensated due to the reduced level of service.
