Love is in the air as celebrity couples announce marriages

Love is in the air as 2015 promises to be a special time for at least three celebrity couples.

Stephen Fry looks set to marry his partner in a discrete ceremony, while Take That singer Howard Donald and Hollywood star Cameron Diaz have already tied the knot.

Actor Fry, has given formal notice to marry Elliott Spencer, 27, at a register office in Dereham, Norfolk, near where he grew up.

According to documents on display in Norwich, the wedding will take place in the Breckland Business Centre which houses the register office, but no date has been set for the ceremony.

Writing on Twitter, Fry said: “Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag.

“I’m very, very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!”

Donald married girlfriend Katie Halil in a “very private ceremony” at a country house in Oxfordshire on Friday, the band’s spokesman confirmed.

The couple met in 2008 when the band filmed their television advert for Marks and Spencer, and got together in 2010.

Actress Diaz, 42, married her partner of eight months, Good Charlotte musician Benji Madden, on Monday, in an “intimate ceremony” at their home in Los Angeles, a representative for the couple said.

The pair were set up by celebrity Nicole Richie, who is married to Madden’s twin brother Joel.

Guests at the occasion included Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon. Drew Barrymore was a bridesmaid and Richie’s son Sparrow was the ring bearer.
