Major revamp of Great Yorkshire Showground unveiled
A total of 132,131 people came through the gates over the three days, an increase on last year’s figure of 130,989.
The record for attendance was set in 2006, with 135,111 visitors. Four years ago, the figure was just 25 fewer.

Hide AdHighlights this year included a tour by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on opening day, and a vast BBC presence to mount an outside broadcast of The One Show.
This 157th show also saw the handover of the honorary show director role, after a decade, from Bill Cowling to Charles Mills.
Mr Mills said: “The Great Yorkshire Show has an amazing reputation as a superb industry showcase.”
