Man, 74, seriously injured in crash in Bradford

A man, aged 74, is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car, police have said.

The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing a road when the incident happened at the junction of Northcoate Road and Otley Road in Bradford.

The 74-year-old local man was in collision with a Suzuki SX4 as the car turned right onto Northcoate Road after waiting in a yellow box junction.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident which happened at 4.35pm on Friday.

Officers say the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury which, while serious, is not described as life threatening.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police’s Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101.
