Man arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in Sheffield

Police officers patrolling in Sheffield have arrested a man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, after he was found to be in possession of what is believed to be cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and meth amphetamine.

Police Sergeant, Adam Wood, of the Sheffield Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said on Facebook: "Amongst several calls for service, one suspect drug dealer was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. The male was found with suspect cocaine, ecstasy, meth amphetamine and LSD.

"He will now have to answer some hard life questions."

Sergeant Wood said the team was busy throughout the night.

He added: "We have been busy working through the night in the city centre.

"We started off with joint licensing checks with Sheffield City Council Licensing at several venues. It was pleasing to see several responsible businesses, although we will work with one city centre off-licence that fell below standards."
