Man rescued from weaving machine in Huddersfield

An injured man had to be freed by firefighters after his hand got caught in a weaving machine.

Fire crews were called out just before 3am today after the man’s hand became trapped in the machinery at Camira Yarns in Huddersfield.
A West Yorkshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “A request was received from ambulance to assist with a male who had his left hand stuck in a weaving machine. He was released by crews and left in the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.”
Firefighters and a Technical Rescue Unit were called to the site at Bay Hall Mills, Birkby.
