Man's body found on shore of the Humber in Hull
Reports of a man seen entering the Humber near The Deep in Hull have ended in tragic circumstances.
Several members of public tried to help the man at around 7pm yesterday (Tuesday) but they were unable to do so, according to Humberside Police.
Officers from the force attended the scene, along with firefighters and coastguard staff and searches were carried out along the river but the man could not be found.
However, shortly before 10.45pm, the body of a man was found on the water’s edge near Camilla Close, Hull.
Police are today working to formally identify the man.
