Man's terrifying ordeal as masked knife-wielding robbers strike at Leeds tower block

Police are appealing for information after five masked men armed with knives attacked and robbed a man at an east Leeds tower block.

They threatened the 35-year-old man while he was sat in his car in the car park at Torre Green flats

The victim was assaulted and taken inside the flats where he was taken up in the lift at knifepoint.

He was forced to hand over £200 in cash and his sat-nav was taken from his car.

The robbery happened just after 9.30pm on Friday February 12, but police only released details and released CCTV images of suspects today.

Detective Constable Rob Willis, of Leeds District CID, said: “We have recovered CCTV images of the offenders holding the victim at knifepoint and these illustrate how frightening this incident will have been.

“While they do not show their faces, it does give a clear impression of the type of clothing these males were wearing and we hope that someone may recognise them as a group from that area.

“We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they know who may have been involved or who has any information that could assist the investigation.”
