Military vehicle crash leaves three men seriously injured

The collision, which also involved an HGV, happened at around noon today on the A17 near Swineshead Bridge in Lincolnshire.

The military vehicles were being driven by civilians, Lincolnshire Police said.

Four men and a woman were hurt and three of the men were described as seriously injured.

Three people were airlifted to hospital – two to the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham and one to Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge – while a fourth was taken to QMC by land ambulance.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said more than 30 firefighters were sent to the scene of the crash.
