Milner picks up a different sort of cap as he is made chancellor
However James Milner swapped the crimson of Liverpool for the more rarified red robes of Leeds Trinity University as he was made chancellor of the Leeds Children’s University.
Milner said: “I’m delighted to have been formally installed as Chancellor, it truly is a great honour.

Hide Ad“I hope to raise awareness of the benefits and skills that can be gained by taking part in extra-curricular learning activities.
“Through my own experiences of the commitment and drive it takes to pursue dreams and ambitions outside of the classroom, I hope I can inspire the members of Leeds Children’s University.”
England international Milner, who was born in the Wortley area of Leeds, installed as nearly 100 students from Leeds Children’s University were also honoured.
Milner made his debut for his hometown club Leeds United before playing for Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City before moving to his current club in the summer.
