Missing York woman found after urgent police appeal
A woman missing from York has been found after police issued an urgent appeal for information on her whereabouts.
North Yorkshire Police earlier said that extensive searches had taken place overnight in an effort to find Elizabeth Anne Jowitt.
Although searches had focused on the York area, it was believed she might be in the Humberside region.
In an update, a force spokesman said: “Elizabeth Jowitt has been found safe and well in York.
“Thank you for all your support with this appeal.”
