Morecambe 0 Bradford City 1: Mclean’s late goal continues bright start
Aaron MClean came off the bench to fire Bradford City into the second round of the Capital One Cup and make it two wins out of two to start the season.
Mclean latched onto a Billy Knott through ball with eight minutes remaining and bundled the ball home, although the home side were furious as they felt the City striker had used his hand.
Lee Ellison could have put the League Two aside ahead early in the second half but headed wide from eight yards and Paul Mullin saw a late effort saved by Ben Williams.
James Hanson had the best chance of the first half when he beat home goalkeeper Barry Roche only to see Mark Hughes clear off the line.
