MPs tackle Three Peaks

LEADING mountaineers joined politicians to tackle the famous Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Mountaineering went on a 13-mile hike from Ingleton to Horton-in-Ribblesdale over Ingleborough and Whernside for its annual outing, organised by the British Mountaineering Council. Other walkers included veteran mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington and Yorkshire climber Alan Hinks – the first Briton to summit all 14 mountains over 8,000 metres.
