Miss Elizabeth (Betty) Whittinham of Grove House, Moor Road, Ashover has passed away at home, aged 95. Born in Clay Cross, Betty was a life long local resident.She worked as a secretary and administrator a Kenning Motor Group and later in charge as an office manager, After her retirement she spent many years at Hardwick Hall as a guide.Betty was interested in tennis, playing the piano, was a keen gardener liked walking she loved her favorite dogs, Westies Bella and Annie, loved meeting and spending times with friends and attending social occasions.Betty leaves Helen and Ann.The funeral service will take place on Wednesday April 19th 2017 at All saints Church, Ashover at 10.45 am.Funeral Directors :J.J.Needhan & Son, 2 Thanet Street, Clay Cross, Chesterfield.(01246 862158)
