Near-record crowd sees Yorkshire Show spectacle
A total of 132,131 people came through the gates over the three days, an increase on last year’s figure of 130,989.
The record for attendance was set in 2006, with 135,111 visitors. Four years ago, the figure was just 25 fewer.

Hide AdHighlights this year included a tour by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on opening day, and a vast BBC presence to mount an outside broadcast of The One Show.
This 157th show also saw the handover of the honorary show director role, after a decade, from Bill Cowling to Charles Mills.
Mr Mills said: “The Great Yorkshire Show has an amazing reputation as a superb industry showcase, as well as a fun and educational day out for all the family. Our vital role in celebrating farming excellence will continue, and the presence of our Royal patron underlines the significance of the Great Yorkshire Show to the rural community and beyond.”
