New £20m regional hub unveiled

Plans for a new £20m regional hub for up to 3,500 civil servants in Bradford have been unveiled.

The scheme, funded by the private sector, would see Jacob’s Well demolished to make way for the 200,000 sq ft building, which would bring together staff from across the public sector including local authority workers, police officers and NHS staff.

Bradford Council Leader, Councillor David Green, said: “It is a very important regeneration scheme that should attract more civil service jobs, boosting Bradford’s regional status and complementing other regeneration projects such as Westfield’s Broadway shopping centre and the multi-award winning City Park.”

The programme is being managed by DragonGate and delivered by Chiltington Land and McLaren Properties who are due to sign the agreement today (Fri).
