Nine wanted on arrest warrants

Police have released details of nine people wanted on European arrest warrants who are mostly thought to be in West Yorkshire.

The men and woman, who are mostly Eastern European, are wanted in connection with a variety of allegations and convictions and are not thought to be linked in any way.

They are wanted on bench warrants issued by the City of Westminster Magistrates Court following their arrests on European arrest warrants.

Superintendent Pat Casserly, of West Yorkshire Police Protective Services - Operations, said: “Some of these people have already been found guilty or convicted of serious crimes in their native country - they have not come to West Yorkshire to reform or rehabilitate, rather to hide from justice. I am appealing directly to anyone who knows where any of these people are to contact police.”

Andras Angyal, 45, from Hungary, faces charges of theft and fraud in his latest country. Jaroslaw Sobczak, 45, from Poland, has been sentenced to two years in prison for an armed robbery in his home country. Rafal Mieczyslaw Karczmar, 31, was sentenced to two years in prison in his home country for 40 burglary offences and three arsons. The others are: Szabolcs Domotor, 31; Patryk Dola, 25; Julius Dzudza, 33; Mimi Mirga, 24; Wojciech Kamil Podolak, 31 and British national Asif Alam, 41.
