A cremation service has taken place at At Mansfield on April 4th 2017 for Mr John Denis Jackson of Anfield, High Oakham Hill, Mansfield, formally of Millersdale Avenue, Mansfield.Born in Nottingham John has lived in the local area for 62 years, working on the area Development team in the North and South Notts for the NCB. he retired 34 years ago at the age of 55.In his early years he played the saxophone in three local bands. Later getting married and having children, going on holidays in the UK and abroad. He also enjoyed gardening, and growing flowers and vegetables. In his later life he enjoyed watching television and being around family and friends who he loved, especially his dog Jodie and cat OliverJohn who died peacefully at home with his family on March 18th 2017, aged 87, was husband to Mrs June Jackson -passed away 2009.
