North Yorkshire crash leaves motorbike rider with serious leg injuries

A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious leg injuries after his bike collided with a car in Skipton.

The incident saw a black Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling towards Harrogate on the A65 at Skipton, collide with a green Kawasaki ZX-636 travelling in the opposite direction yesterday at around 8.20pm.

Prior to the crash the Kawasaki rider was travelling with another motorbike which was yellow, the rider of which has since been identified by police.

The rider of the green bike remains in Leeds General Infirmary with leg injuries.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police closed the road for around three hours to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
