How Brexit immigration changes expose poverty pay – Yorkshire Post Letters
BILL Carmichael usually manages to spout the latest Conservative Party line in his articles (The Yorkshire Post, February 21).
I would hope for more originality from a writer.
I wonder if he’s noticed that under the new immigration policy foreigners will be able to apply for well-paid jobs whilst more lower-paid jobs will be available for British workers?

Hide AdMuch as I’d like to see care workers better paid, the real limit on pay is not caused by EU immigration but by cash-strapped local authorities who cannot pay more for the adult social care places they have to find. As for the long promised adult social care plans promised by the Government, we’re still waiting.

THE new Government has taken shape. The ‘B’ word is banished. Power is now centralised in No 10, where policy is directed by an unelected political appointee. The new Attorney General recently wrote: “Restoring sovereignty to Parliament after Brexit is one of the greatest prizes that awaits us.”
Is this what was meant by “taking back control”?
