Ken Bruce's Radio 2 departure leaves big shoes to fill for Vernon Kay: The Yorkshire Post says

Ken Bruce has been a fixture in the BBC Radio 2 mid-morning slot for more than 30 years so it was little surprise his final show on the station on Friday was one full of emotion for both him and his loyal listeners.

After such a long association with the BBC having worked for the corporation for more than 40 years, it is a shame that Bruce is leaving on something of a sour note.

The experienced presenter has expressed his unhappiness at being told to end his show 17 days before the end of his notice period.
