August 17: Send Calais migrants to Hebrides

From: Sheila Emsley, Thornton, Bradford.

The thousands of migrants in Calais and elsewhere hell bent on coming to the UK saying they want to work and, we are told have needed skills, could be transported to Taransay in the Outer Hebrides where the BBC deposited people and there are some facilities. Give them cows and sheep, seeds to plant and tools and let them use their skills to build a community. They would be safe and they would not be a drain on our benefits system as they would be self-sufficient.

From: Andrew Mercer, Guiseley.

THE BBC proved that it has more money than sense with its decision to film Songs Of Praise from a Calais migrant camp.
