Black Friday reveals greed

From: Hilary Andrews, Leeds.

witnessing the ugly scenes at supermarkets on Black Friday makes you realise what a greedy, selfish nation we have become (The Yorkshire Post, November 29). What has happened to the principle of saving up for the things you want and really enjoying actually buying them? I don’t think I could enjoy watching a TV that had hit me over the head in a sales scrum. Is there any way back to decency?

THE death of cricketer Phillip Hughes is a tragedy. I understand it was only the fourth death of a player in the course of a first class match, so while our thoughts must be with his family, there is no reason to radically change the game he loved.
