From: Eddie Banham, Lidgett Lane, Dinnington.

I am in awe of all he has done for others throughout his life, plus the way he has raised our spirits and a huge amount of money for NHS.

How then should we remember him? May I suggest a scholarship at a medical school to help young members of the forces gain qualifications so they can continue to support the NHS which Captain Tom so loved?

I am sure donations would pour in for any appeal made in his name, but let us ensure it is used in a way Captain Tom would approve.

Once this is all over, and only then, should there be a discussion about a statue or naming a hospital after him.
