WATCHING the TV news the other night, I was appalled to see the demonstrations of celebration which followed goals in each and every football match reported on.

What planet are these people on?

While the rest of us are
being earnestly exhorted to walk for not more than an
hour with not more than one other person observing two metres social distance, these idiots were jumping all over each other.

The evidence is there for all to see in TV footage. All the players concerned should be issued with playing bans and thumping fines. If that makes there teams unviable, so be it.

Footballers are seen as role models by millions. They are
very handsomely rewarded for their efforts and they bear a heavy responsibility for their anti social and, frankly, criminal activity.

If football cannot conduct itself responsibly, it must be shut down.

SHOULD football be banned? No. This gives at least a semblance of normality in the lockdown, and gives entertainment for all the bored people who love football at home on TV.
