Labour Ministers need to stop the blame game and come up with policies of substance - Yorkshire Post Letters

It seems that at every speech or interview from the recently elected Labour Government Ministers, they just cannot speak without blaming the recent Conservative administration.

Each time Starmer, Reeves, Cooper, Rayner and Streeting and others, almost fall over themselves to continually lay the blame on the Tories. It’s as if they have no substance to back up their policy announcements, from the economy to immigration and the health service and other things.

Many of the problems stem from the Blair, Brown years when Tony Blair threw open the doors to everyone who wanted to come to Britain. On top of that in 2010 Labour left office leaving a rumoured IOU on the desk. Both actions coming home to roost on Labour's doorstep.

The now unsustainable heating allowance cancelled in England and the increase in National Insurance contributions are but two of the decisions which have caused much upset since the Labour party was elected.

Let’s hear what the actual substance of the major policies are and cut out the blame game.
