May 2: Beware phone enquiry charge

MAY I warn everybody not to use the BT 118 500 service for Directory Enquiries? On querying my telephone bill I have discovered that the minimum charge by BT for this service is £4.46! This is a disgraceful amount, particularly as this is the number advertised in the Phone Book. It cannot possibly cost that much to deal with a query.
