Oprah Winfrey interview with Royal couple was ‘staged’ – Yorkshire Post Letters

From: Alex Cormack, Warriston Gardens, Edinburgh.

I’VE thought long and hard
about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex interview. Honestly, I think we have all been had. That interview was staged, no question.

The shock we saw on Oprah Winfrey’s face was acting – she’s an actress, don’t forget. As if
the questions and answers wouldn’t have been rehearsed. Oh come on. Each party
knew exactly what would be discussed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Meghan had suicidal thoughts – many do, in all walks of life.
Piers Morgan shouldn’t have
said he didn’t believe that because nobody can say
what anyone else’s thoughts
are.

I NEARLY spat out my porridge reading the letter from Andrew Mercer (The Yorkshire Post, March 16).

What makes him so sure that Kate Middleton, one of the few people at the vigil without a
mask (so we could clearly see her face), stopping in front of cameras, in a week where
the Royals have desperately
been trying to deflect accusations of racism,
wasn’t anything other than a carefully orchestrated publicity stunt?
