Remembering your verbs

From: Mrs NJ Strachan,. Thornton, Bradford.

I’VE recently joined a language group in an attempt to brush up on my schoolgirl French. I remember being taught a rhyme to remember the verbs that take Etre. It began “To go in French is Aller, its opposite is Venir, Entre is to enter, to set out is Partir”.

Unfortunately that is all I can remember and I wondered if any of your readers were also taught this rhyme?

NOW that the Royal Mail has been sold off, I notice that the true meaning of Christmas has disappeared from the so called “Christmas stamp”. Will the school Nativity play soon disappear, not being politically correct?
