Thanks to The Yorkshire Post in puzzling times – Yorkshire Post Letters
AS we approach the end of 2020, may I take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the staff at The Yorkshire Post who have strived to keep producing newspapers and supplements throughout this strange and difficult year.
Thanks especially to the staff who have comprised all the extra puzzles pages which have kept me occupied at various times during the day.

Hide AdI, like many people, have developed and honed a new skill during lockdown and beyond. Mine is the art of reading text upside down (the text upside down, not me). This way I can surreptitiously look at the answers without arousing suspicion and avoid being caught cheating.
Thanks so much for all the crosswords, hubwords, routewords, daily trivia, mini quizzes etc which I look forward to attempting every day, and which has helped to keep the boredom at bay.
Once one has cleaned the whole house from top to bottom, baked enough buns to feed an army (until the flour ran out) and painted anything that stood still long enough, one can always find a spare few minutes to do the crossword.
Thanks again for keeping this excellent newspaper in print during exceptional circumstances.
