When homosexual heresy meets Big Brother

From: Jack Brown, Lamb Lane, Monk Bretton, Barnsley.

YOUR report on Sheffield University’s Hidden Perspectives project (Yorkshire Post, April 12) is a stark reminder of how deeply the homosexual heresy has embedded itself into English culture.

Dr Katie Edwards, head of Biblical Studies, leads the project and is, presumably, the author of the statement that the project will challenge the alienation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender heretics by “mainstream” Bible readings.

What does “mainstream” mean? One suspects it can only be lay; the last line of defence against the heresy and dismissed as, literally, no count.

She claims she wants to open an already extant and unwelcome discussion, one side of which resounds like Big Brother propaganda. She – and the feminist MPs who seek to impose heresy on the Church – besiege the last bastion of open discussion.

The engagement of an actor with the stage name of Angel Gaybrial for the premiere event is typical of the wilful infliction of pain on lay Christians by those who demand love they cannot command.

Academic heretics like most bishops and Dr Edwards consistently muddy the Biblical waters by challenging Judaism’s explicit condemnation and deepening Christian mysticism.

We only have to read the letter from Christ’s brother, Jude, to know the context of Christ’s references elsewhere to “eunuchs” and Jude reveals that Christ’s insistence on female equality was also being challenged.

Fuelled by outrage at both heresies, Jude’s brief, unchallengeable, poetic eloquence is all the argument any Christian – academic, priestly or lay – needs against Dr Edwards and her like.
