Why can’t GPs work nights?

From: Dai Woosnam, Woodrow Park, Scartho, Grimsby.

IT wasn’t until I read Richard Simpson’s letter (Yorkshire Post, May 25) that I realised why Look North had become so appealing.

The emergency services are vital and should not be touched by cuts. In the event of a house fire every second counts. It is the smoke that kills – not the fire.

Skye rocket

From: Margaret Webster, Whitechapel Road, Scholes, Cleckheaton.

I FEEL I must take your quick crossword compiler, Roger Squires, to task for the clue 3 Down (Yorkshire Post, May 23) – the Isle of Skye is spelt “Skye” not “Sky”. I do enjoy the quick crossword every day. Keep up the good work.
