Pensioner airlifted after two car crash

An 88-year-old motorist is in a serious condition in hospital following a car crash in North Yorkshire where he had to airlifted from the scene.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident yesterday (Wednesday) at around 6.15pm at the junction of Askwith Moor Road and Moor Lane near Otley.

It involved a blue Skoda Yeti driven by the 88-year-old from Ilkley travelling from the direction of Blubberhouses to Otley, and a blue Audi A3, driven by a 69-year-old man from Skipton, travelling in the opposite direction. He was uninjured.
