A tiny Yorkshire village has scooped a £1m win in the latest Postcode Lottery draw - with one resident scooping more than £350,000.

Boasting just 800 residents, Dacre was announced as the winner of the lottery’s Millionaire Street prize today (Oct 25) after HG3 4AP was drawn.

It meant one lucky winner bagged a total of £378,282, while 88 other people in the surrounding area get a share of the prize as part of the HG3 4 postcode area.

It means they have won between £6,155 and £18,465, depending on how many tickets they play with.

Dacre sits on a hill overlooking the River Nidd in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

“Congratulations to all 89 of the local players who have shared in this amazing win spread across a beautiful rural area of Yorkshire.

“What an amazing event to bring everyone in the community together. Hopefully they can all mark it with a big celebration.”
