Inspirational man spotted handing out CVs in Leeds Station lands new job role
Trevor Walford, from Keighley, put on his smartest suit and tie and travelled to Leeds Station with 300 CVs on Tuesday, September 1.

Hide AdThe 63-year-old had worked as a restaurant manager and trainer for 16 years before he was made redundant during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the time, Trevor said: "I’m still a very fit and active 63-year-old, I still have a lot to give and I’m passionate about what I do.
“I got up that morning and was so fed up of sitting in front of my computer making job applications.

Hide Ad“I saw a box on my table and thought - I’m going to make a sign and wear my suit and tie, what I would normally wear for work, and hand out my CVs.
“I’m not looking for anything in management, I just want to work. I want to do something. I’m so fed up of talking to my kettle every day.”
However, Trevor has finally accepted a new role - in management no less.

Hide AdTrevor has now been appointed training development manager for hospitality company Churrasco Group.
In his new he will oversee the customer service training of 337 employees across their 10 northern England venues.
Trevor said: "I'm chuffed t' bits, as we say in Yorkshire.
"I certainly wasn't ready to be washed up just yet."
Churrasco Group CEO Rob Campbell said: "Of course I empathised with Trevor's situation, but when we met him, his professionalism and wealth of knowledge across the industry is exactly what our operation needs."

Leeds-based Churrasco Group consists of 3 brands, Estábulo Bar & Grill, Casa Peri Peri, and Fleur Café.
The brand has several sites across Yorkshire including popular sites in The Light shopping centre in Leeds.
