It was an afternoon to remember as Leeds United legends and fans gathered to celebrate one of the club’s greatest ever captains.
Bringing together an outstanding line-up of former players and special guests to honour the legacy of Billy Bremner. Held at the Gary Speed suite at Elland Road on Saturday (May 23), it reunited some of his teammates from the 1972 FA Cup triumph.
It featured guest speakers Glynn Snodin and John Sheridan and was compered by comedian Jed Stone. There was also a raffle, giving fans in attendance the chance to take home some fantastic LUFC memorabilia.
The gala dinner was raising money for a statue of Billy Bremner in his hometown of Raploch, Stirling. Members of his family were also in attendance at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire Evening Post had a photographer down on Saturday (May 23) afternoon. See some of our fantastic pictures from the event.
