Leeds, York, Sheffield, Hull and Harrogate named among best city breaks in UK by Which?

Cities in Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have surpassed London and the South East in the list of best city breaks out of nearly 4,000 compiled by experts at Which?

Each area has been rated from one to five across various categories including food and drink, accommodation, cultural sights, shopping, ease of getting around, parking and value for money.

Cultural sights and tourist attractions include range, quality and price of historic buildings, galleries, museums, parks and city tours.

Leeds, York, Sheffield and Hull were named among the best ‘largest cities’ in the UK.

While Harrogate is technically a town, the list marks it down as a 'medium sized city’ and has also been named among the best.
