NHS Spitfire plane spotted flying over skies of Yorkshire

Last week, a wall of cloud turned up over the North East and put a stop to an attempt to fly over the area.

The aircraft was forced to make a u-turn and return to Duxford Airfield.

However, better weather allowed the plane to make a successful flight today over the skies of Yorkshire and beyond.

The aircraft flew over many hospitals in the region.

All money raised is being donated to NHS Charities Together to support the incredible people within our National Health Service.
