Storm Christoph: More than 1,650 homes in Leeds without power as major outage causes chaos

More than 1,650 homes in Leeds are without power this morning due to a major outage.

The power cut has hit LS10 and LS11 postcodes.

The outage was first reported shortly after 7am this morning according to Northern Powergrid.

Northern Powergrid said: "Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible.

"The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the electricity cable that serves your area."

The power is due to be restored by 9.30am according to the live map.
