Whitby's historic streets have been transformed into a colourful spectacle of elaborate costumes, spooky characters and gothic glamour as the seaside town celebrates its biannual Goth Weekend.
The popular event, which began on Friday (Oct 30) and concludes today, Sunday (Nov 1), has attracted visitors from across the country for a weekend of creativity and celebration.
The town has long been associated with Dracula after author Bram Stoker drew inspiration from Whitby's dramatic landscape for his famous 1897 novel.
First held in 1994, Whitby Goth Weekend began as a small gathering organised by founder Jo Hampshire following an advert in NME magazine.
More than three decades later, it has become an internationally recognised celebration of gothic culture, bringing thousands of visitors to the Yorkshire coast twice a year.
Here are some of the best pictures from Whitby Goth Weekend 2026.
