Police arrest man after Leeds shooting


Detectives said the man was arrested in the early hours of this morning following a shooting in Seacroft, Leeds, in which two men were injured on December 9.
Police received a report of a man in The Rein, Seacroft, who had with shotgun pellet injuries to his head. At the same time officers on patrol in Harehills Road were flagged down by a man with shotgun injuries to his hand.

Hide AdThe men, both aged 26, were taken to hospital for treatment. The man with head injuries was later released from hospital and the other man needed treatment to his hand.
Det Chief Insp Steve Thomas, from West Yorkshire Police said today: “In a pre-planned police operation in the early hours of this morning, officers arrested a local man from an address in Leeds.
“He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody while the investigation continues to progress.”
