Police at scene of Doncaster crash - shots may have been fired

Armed response officers have been sent to the scene of a road crash, where a man was hit by a vehicle, after reports that shots were fired.

The police helicopter was also sent to the scene at Westwoodside, Doncaster, after the incident at around 3pm.

Humberside Police said: “A vehicle collided with a male pedestrian, who has been taken to hospital and is being treated for serious injuries. No one else was hurt.

“Shots are believed to have been fired in the area, but no one was injured as a result.”
