Yesterday, officers released an e-fit of an Asian man they are keen to speak to following the latest incident which happened at flats on Walmer Villas in Manningham, when a 56-year-old man was subjected to an assault on April 15.

It is believed the attack is linked to a robbery at the home of an 80-year-old man, on Carlisle Place, in Manningham, on January 28 when a raider of the same description forced his way into the victim’s home as he was opening his door.

Again, an assault took place and the suspect left the property with a number of items, before locking the victim in his own house.

Det Sgt Martin Milner, of Bradford South CID, said neither of the victims was badly hurt but added: “These were despicable acts on vulnerable members of the community.”

He said there was a “distinct possibility” the incidents were linked to three offences in July and August 2012, where elderly people were targeted at Mount Royds and Manningham Lane, in similar circumstances. Call police on 101.
