Police investigating theft release CCTV images

The theft happened sometime between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday, January 8 when a man visited the home of an 81-year-old woman in Kirby Close, Darnall.

He offered to do some gardening work for the woman for a small fee, before taking her to a cash machine on Main Road, Darnall.

The victim gave him her bankcard and pin, to withdraw a small amount of cash for the proposed gardening work.

He withdrew a larger amount of cash from her account.

A police spokesperson said: "Police investigating the matter are looking to speak to the man pictured in the image, as they believe he may hold important information about what happened.

"Do you recognise the man? If you can help, please call 101 quoting incident number 602 of 19 January 2017."
