An inscription on the back of the engraved watch reads: 'To Frank from the lads of Manor House C.C. 19-11-89.'

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We want you to help us reunite a number of watches and pieces of jewellery with Frank, whose name is engraved on the back of one of the watches.

"Following a successful appeal in January last year to reunite a man called Frank with an ornate walking stick found in Sheffield, we're hoping you'll be able to help us out again."

Anyone with information on who the jewellery box belongs to is asked to call the Barnsley enquiry desk on 01226 736214.
