Police name pensioner who died after Sheffield collision

Police have named the woman who died in a collision in the Crosspool area of Sheffield earlier this month as Judith Beckingham.

The 77-year-old, from Sheffield, was on foot when she was injured in a collision involving a black Vauxhall Astra as it was turning right from Sandygate Road onto Selborne Road at around 9.45am on Thursday, June 2.

She was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died four days later.

South Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone who was in the Selborne Road area at the time of the collision to contact them.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 236 of June 2, 2016.
