ABP drops legal action
PORT operator ABP will not be taking further legal action against rival developers, finally allowing a £440m project to get underway.
ABP said they would not apply for a review of planning consent which allows Able UK to compulsorily purchase a piece of land it owns at North Killingholme.
Last week Mrs Justice Patterson refused ABP’s application to seek a judicial review of Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin’s decision to grant a development control order for the plans, describing their claim as “unarguable.”
Chairman of the Humber LEP Lord Haskins said ABP’s move would be “widely welcomed.”
