I was hacked says Yorkshire deputy police czar whose Twitter feed '˜liked' porn star posts

The story headlined on the political website Guido Fawkes, which revealed ‘likes’ on Mr Robinson’s account, including X-rated images of “international plaything” and “English totty” Rebecca More.

Ms More, who has 80,000 followers, has retweeted the story.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Post this morning Mr Robinson admitted the timing on the day of the re-election vote, was “awkward”.

He is spending the day on the campaign trail as people go to cast their votes.

He said: “I am pleased everyone is having a good laugh - if it wasn’t so serious that my account has clearly been hacked.

“I have changed all my passwords and am getting on with the job.”

He admitted it could be “potentially damaging”, but added: “I would hope others see it for what it is - a political stunt.

“I do know that all the things you ‘like’ are stored on the Twitter feed - I am not stupid enough to do this.

“It is quite clearly a hack of my Twitter account.”

Mr Robinson, a former East Riding Tory councillor, is no stranger to controversy and his appointment three years ago as the £45,000-a-year deputy police and crime commissioner by his colleague and friend police and crime commissioner Matthew Grove, another ex East Riding councillor, drew criticism for “political cronyism”.

In 2013 he was also fined £100 and given three penalty points after being stopped by police on the M180 in north Lincolnshire speeding at 90mph. It was his second offence in a matter of months after being seen talking on his phone as he approached a toll booth on the Humber Bridge.
